The Highlights
The Harter Schleier Waterfall
Just a short distance from Perfect Lodgings Hart, the Harter Schleier Waterfall plunges 91 meters to the ground, making it the highest waterfall in the entire Zillertal. An easy trail, accessible year-round, leads directly to the base of the waterfall—a rewarding and free detour for nature lovers, with no long drive required.
Marmot Land
Murmelland is located near the Kaltenbacher Ski Lodge on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, just a short drive from Hart. In an open-air enclosure, you can observe marmots up close; there’s also a playground and a small petting zoo with alpacas, rabbits, and sheep—a lovely outing, especially for families with children.
Mayrhofen & Zell am Ziller
The two best-known towns in the Zillertal are perfect for a leisurely stroll: Mayrhofen, with its lively town center serving as the gateway to the rear Zillertal Alps, and Zell am Ziller, with its cozy atmosphere and striking parish church. Both towns are easily accessible from Hart by car or via the Zillertalbahn.
The Zillertal Railway
Since 1902, the historic Zillertal Railway has connected Jenbach with Mayrhofen. The nostalgic steam train, in particular, with its wooden benches and distinctive whistle, takes passengers back to a bygone era and is one of the region’s most popular attractions.
